JHZL Aquatics offers a wide range of services for all freshwater and marine aquariums. Whether you need a water change, a clean and re-aquascape or treatment advice contact us and see how we can help you. Water changing and filter cleaning help detoxify harmful ammonia and nitrite produced by your fish, therefore regular maintenance for your aquarium is vital to keep it healthy and running at its best. We can provide with you a regular maintenance service on a weekly or monthly schedule depending on the size aquarium and to suit your needs or a general big clean maintenance.

Freshwater Aquarium

General services provided:

  • Aquarium set up and installation

  • Water testing – ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH

  • Water changes

  • Water treatment – if needed

  • Filter cleaning

  • Gravel cleaning

  • Glass cleaning

  • Algae removal

  • Plant trimming

  • Aquascaping

  • Advice

We can offer these services as a weekly, monthly or 6 week maintenance visit to suit your needs.

Marine Aquarium

General services provided:

  • Aquarium set up and installation

  • Water testing – ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, salinity. For reef aquariums also alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, phosphate.

  • Water changes

  • Water treatment – if needed

  • Filter cleaning

  • Skimmer cleaning

  • Powerhead cleaning

  • Gravel cleaning

  • Glass cleaning

  • Algae removal

  • Coral upkeep

  • Aquascaping

  • Advice

We can offer these services as a weekly or monthly maintenance visit to suit your needs.

Extra Services

  • Equipment – If you need any new equipment set up or replacing we can help with this, There will not be any mark up charge on the price of parts needed to complete a job. What we pay for your parts is what you will pay us for them.

  • Holiday visits – We can look after your aquarium while you are on holiday, to carry out feeding, monitoring and optional extra maintenance. If you have any other small animals ie hamsters, rabbits etc, having been a pet shop manager I have experience with many animals and am happy to check on and feed those too, to make your time away as easy as possible, so you can relax knowing your pets are safe.     £10 per visit. This is a local holiday service for areas of Fleet, Farnborough, Aldershot, Hartley Whitney, Hook etc. For locations outside of our normal service area of 5 miles, a small travel fee may be applied.

Prices

As each case is individual it can be difficult to put an exact price on our services, for some jobs or equipment purchases, deposits may be required. Every effort will always be made to complete work in a timely manner, the length of a job is dependent on size, condition of the aquarium and the amount of work required.

 

All freshwater aquarium work is priced at £30 per hour with a minimum charge of 1 hour, any additional extra services will be charged on top.

All marine aquarium work is priced at £40 per hour with a minimum charge of 1 hour, any additional extra services will be charged on top.

Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer, invoices will be provided for the services.
